Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison compared two stress reduction techniques and the effect on inflammation.
Apparently stress plays a major part in chronic inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and asthma.
The study compared “mindfulness meditation” with equivalent training that included music therapy, physical activity and nutrition.
While both techniques reduced stress and inflammation, the mindfulness meditation were found to be more effective.
