I always thought Gut Flora was a product of what we eat and various drugs or lifestyle factors. All the ads telling us to have our daily probiotics, especially after taking antibiotics.
This pilot study shows they could also be a product of our genes and therefore possibly changed therapeutically in the future. Apparently peoples guts vary in their individual community of microbiota and the predisposition of a particular healthy strain of bacteria is genetic.
