Curcumin improves heart health as much as exercise

curcumin for heart health

A clinical trial in Japan found post menopausal women benefited as much from curcumin supplements as from aerobic exercise for vascular health.

Curcumin (pigment in turmeric) has recently been found to have many protective type health benefits. It has anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

This is good news for women unable to exercise – or for people like me who do not respond to aerobic exercise.

A dose of 25 milligrams of a highly absorptive type of curcumin was used in the study involving 32 women.
